Our development efforts towards beta v2 reached new heights in May with the addition of new multi-collateral features, optimized frontend designs, start of our Peckshield audit, and much more! The community was also bustling with activity during the Trader’s Handbook event - building up a strong momentum as we get closer to our beta v2 launch.
Path to Beta v2
In the month of May, our engineers have focused on these 5 main tasks in preparation for v2:
Initially proposed by community members and testers, we’ve complied a list of v1 optimizations to complete for v2, such as adjusting position functionality, adding a trade history tab, etc.
Internally, we also had plans to implement new features in our smart contracts, such as multi-collateral and cross margin.
Prepare and begin smart contract audit with Peckshield.
Design and architect the new frontend interfaces and index the subgraph accordingly with the new contract logic.
Complete internal quality assurance before releasing it for public testing
Following the significant progress over the past few weeks, our audit officially started on May 30th. We hope to continue this momentum into June and will keep you all updated on our progress!

Trader’s Handbook
We believe education within our community is tremendously important and we hope to provide quality learning resources for everyone. Thus, before we moved onto beta v2, we wanted to establish a Trader's Handbook for our community, so everyone can improve their understanding of perpetual swaps, and how to trade them.
In total, we had 121 submissions with brilliant answers to each of the questions. The best answers will be combined together to form the first iteration of the handbook - becoming a guide for onboarding future traders as well as a standard reference for existing community members alike.
Increment is a decentralized, algorithmic perpetual swaps protocol building on zkSync 2.0, featuring automatically concentrated liquidity, dynamic fees and parametrizable pools.
