Last month, we released an introductory article Hello World: Meet Increment to explain why we are building Increment, what we plan to build, and the journey thus far.
Since then, we’ve spent a majority of our time speaking with many successful entrepreneurs in this space, introducing them to Increment and listening to their feedback. This has been tremendously fruitful because it helps validate some of our ideas and points us in the right direction. As we continue learning and improving, we’re also looking forward to joining the amazing community at Kernel.
Joining KERNEL
Kernel is eight weeks of conversation in a "block" of 250 brilliant people, consisting of 16 learning modules and build tracks for DeFi, tokens, or security. Putting it simply, Kernel is a bunch of friends building cool web3 stuff together.
We were interviewed and accepted into Kernel Block 4 (KB4), which includes artists, writers, researchers, designers, and entrepreneurs representing 50 countries, 25+ top universities, and some of the best companies across Web 2 and Web 3. Some Kernel alumni projects include Akropolis, Pods Finance, Parcel, and more! We’re thankful and excited to be part of the Block 4 cohort and can’t wait to share our experiences with you all.

Development Update
We’re currently focused on building the beta app for testnet, which consists of designing and developing the UI/UX, as well as building priority contract features and expanding testing coverage. In August, we’ve complete the initial phases of this process:
📚 Research
Token Model & Utilities: On-chain referrals, trading fee discounts, buyback and burn, collateral backing, participation incentives, and more.
Potential yield-automation strategies: Bento box, yEarn, Aave strategies.
📟 Operations
Set up Medium publication. Compared to Substack, Medium is more optimized for SEO, thus we will be posting all articles on both channels moving forward.
💻 Front-end
Completed a drafted mockup of the beta app
📑 Smart Contracts
Researched smart contract security
Drafted a map of the backend logic
