Our 12th newsletter! We have officially hit the one year mark for our monthly community newsletters and it shows how far we’ve come, see our first August 2021 newsletter here.
From continuing protocol development in preparation for our upcoming audit with Trail of Bits to winning prizes at the EthCC Paris hackathon, July continued to be an exciting month for Increment.
Final Stretch for Beta v2
New features like cross margin and multi-collateral have landed in Increment’s smart contracts. The frontend interface is coming along well and we are working towards putting the final pieces in place, such as showing the contract address that the user is interacting with for verification purposes as well as a few additional modals that needs to be created. In July, we’ve made significant progress in these aspects and we are now in the home stretch. We hope to have beta v2 ready for public release in the coming weeks in August.
💻 Front-end
Added collateral balances and adjusted portfolio value chart accordingly

📑 Smart Contracts
Cleaning up code and writing documentation in preparation for Trail of Bits audit starting August 18th
Tested and deployed app to zkSync 2.0 testnet
Worked on other issues to improve maintainability and stability of the system
Community Updates
At the request of many, we brought back the trivia quiz competitions in July! We held two trivia events in total and averaged over 60 participants for each event. The questions ranged from subjects in crypto, history, geography, business, etc and we had three winners, congrats to Jack7Jay#1081, Alk#8106, ht#9774.
We also established a new Elite Profitmaxi role in our community for those who has demonstrated exceptional financial and trading literacy. In July, we welcomed our first member JohanWalem4#3838, who helped create the Perpetual Swaps 101 article in our trader’s handbook.
Trip to EthCC Paris
In the latter weeks of the month, some of our core contributors flew out to Paris, France to attend the EthCC conference as well as the side networking events around the city.
We participated in nearly all the main events like the conference panels, Daivinity, rAave, La Degen, EthCC Hackathon, etc. It was great to connect with builders from many different projects in the space and also spread the word on what we are building at Increment.

A major highlight of this trip was the project that we built at the EthCC hackathon. We were a finalist with our ERC-4626 Interest-Bearing Curve Swap implementation using Vyper! Also received a nice shoutout from Curve, we like sexy charts :)

All in all, we’re laser focused on pushing out beta v2 in the coming weeks and prepping our code as well as docs for the Trail of Bits audit starting August 18th. Big milestones coming.
Increment is a decentralized, algorithmic perpetual swaps protocol building on zkSync 2.0, featuring automatically concentrated liquidity, dynamic fees and parametrizable pools.
